Problem Note 60761: Launching SAS® Studio 3.x Single User, you might see the error "program can't start because MSVCR100.dll is missing" or "Select JRE location"
After you initially install SAS Studio Single User and then start it, the following error messages might appear:

"The program can't start because MSVCR100.dll is missing from your computer. Try
reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
These errors occur because of a missing Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 redistributable dependency.
Workaround
- Click the Downloads tab in this SAS Note.
- Click the links to install both the 64-bit and 32-bit Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable.
Another message you might see is a prompt asking to "Select JRE location":

Workaround
- Install a supported JRE bitness that matches the SAS® 9.4 foundation installation.
For example if SAS 9.4 64-bit is installed, a support 64-bit JRE should be installed. See SAS® 9.4 Support for Java for details on supported JRE information.
